In autumn I went on a lot of inspiring walks with Annika. I don't remember how we actually came to the subject but at a certain point we started to run to cadence once in a while. I versified them while I painted stars and we had a we had a lot of fun and were more laughing than chanting.
Annika loved the Granny...
When my Granny was 91
She did PT just for fun
When my Granny was 92
She did PT like me and you
When my Granny was 93
She did PT better than me
When my Granny was 94
She did PT more and more
When my Granny was 95
She did PT to stay alive
When my Granny was 96
She did PT just for kicks
When my Granny was 97
The old lady died and went to heaven
When my Granny turned 98
She met St. Peter at the pearly gates
She looked at him with a big wide grin
But Peter said "you are pretty thin"
You should not PT any more
But you've got esprit de corps
This was for the boy I heard so much about but had never met so far...
When I go to Milan
Benjamin will say
how do you spend your time here
how do you spend your day
I reply with a smile in my face
with only you I want to spend my days
When we're back in Taizé
the sisters they will say
how do you spend your time here
how do you spend your day
I reply I do kitchen cleaning
that's what gives my life a meaning
When I"m in La Morada
the brothers they will say
how do you spend your time here
how do you spend your day
I reply I live in El Abiodh
and be sure that I work a lot
When he comes to the narthex
br. Stephen he will say
how do you spend your time here
how do you spend your day
we reply we work for you
and we know when the paintings are due
I want to be a permanent
I want to live in a foreign land
I want to be a kitchen girl
I want to cook for the whole world
I want to work in Courrier
That's how I like life in Taizé
I want to be in Decoration
I want to paint for the whole nation
I wan to do deep kitchen cleaning
That's what gives my life a meaning
I want to work in El Abiodh
Yes, I want to work a lot
I don't wanna go and have some fun
I want to stay till the job is done.
