The idea of this website was created in 2001 after my first visit in Taize. I had always taken a lot of pictures and I wanted to make them available to all the nice people I met there. I also wrote some articles about what we did in Taize, about the prayers, the work, about what we had learned about Taize at school.
In 2003 I relaunched the site with a new layout and published a lot of pictures and articles about how I spent my summer in Taize. Most of these things you can now find in the section "Classics".
I lived in Taize for eleven months from 2005-06. During this time I gained an inside view of the life there and of course experienced things in a totally different way than I did while just staying for a week.
Some things that I now publish on this website might be incomprehensible to people who do not know Taize at all or who have just stayed there for something like a week. It is the memory of the life which I had the chance to live there for almost a year, and all the people who shared this life with me. None of these articles will ever be complete for my time in Taizé was too rich of deep experiences to not always forget something.
